Red versus White
You hold
♠ A86432
♥ xx
♦ xx
♣ Axx
RHO passes.
You decide to pass as well.
(The suit is looking kind of ratty for a second suit Red/White Preempt)
The auction progresses as follows
(P) - P - (1♥) - X
(P) - ???
How do you advance partner's takeout double?

Either way, I think 2♠ is enough with 6=2=2=3 and 8 points. But I do have two aces...

If for some reason I have agreed to play 3♠ as preemptive, then I will bid 2♥ and probably end in 4♠.

If I agreed to play 3♠ as preemptive (poor agreement imo , very poor agreement as a passed hand)
I would bid 4♠ perhaps after starting with 2♥.

4♠. Nothing else.
Over 2♠ the opps will anyhow bid ♥: 3 or 4. And what then ?
Better be in there first. !

I prefer to bid 2♥ compared to 4♠ as I have two aces which might be valuable on defense. I don't really want partner to "save" if they bid 5♥ or similar.4♠ is rather preemptive in our methods...

4♠ for me. I also do not see the point of cuebidding here.

It is close, though... 3♠ to show inv. with 6 might be a good agreement here. I've never discussed this sequence with any of my partners.

1. odds are very slim pard has such a strong hand. To muddy the waters in order to cater for that magic hand is against the odds.
2. even if he that special hand, I actually got a nice match for supporting whatever he bids over 4♠
