It's nice to see the "Advanced" (in reality 20th century original) robot finally distinguished from the dumbed-down free version (at least during the tournament) but depressing to be reminded that it really can't be trusted in slam bidding, even if you ignore it.
Yes I plead guilty to not knowing (or illegally peeking) the follow-ups to 3 after Lebensohl, but surely 6 has to be "I am not interested in spades and don't trust you want to play 6"? It seems masochistic to sacrifice this bid to showing a huge balanced hand with clubs and spades support.
WRT legality and disclosure, it is also dubious that 2NT was explained as "forces 3", yet 3 and successive were explained as "3-5".

For a newcomer who never played much with GIB and has barely read the BBO Robot forum, I would blame GIB.

But there's an old saying, fool me once, shame on you, fool me 1000 times, shame on me. First, don't make offshape doubles with GIB. GIB has not, does not, and will not understand offshape doubles no matter how many times you make them. So just don't make offshape doubles unless you want to continue playing in ridiculous contracts.

Second, why would you ever consider responding 3 to a Lebensohl bid once you've misbid by doubling? That's a great way to end up in 3. Maybe GIB may figure out to pass if you jump to 4 over 2NT. I've got no idea whether it would or not but it seems it would have a better chance than accepting the puppet to 3.

And yes, West's bid descriptions indicate 3-5 because that's what the original double showed. As noted, GIB does not understand offshape takeout doubles. Also note that the original double showed 3-4 cards in both majors.

Good play by GIB. A lesser robot would have redoubled.
