Unless xbabarx really doesn't like me :) I'm going to assume GIB won't pick up a record 13 boards against him and proceed on that assumption to the semifinals.

Congrats to both bgm and kgr on very impressive scores.

Semifinals:

bgm vs smerriman
kgr vs shuba

Each semifinal consists of 4 x 16 board challenges. I won't set a strict time limit, but aim to have them completed within a week. bgm - I've added you as a friend, so if you do likewise, the challenges will auto-accept.

GIB should be penalised for not finishing his challenges on time, and get suspended from participating for the time being.

Thanks smerriman for playing.

Set 1 - 10 : 6
https://webutil.brid...&v3v=6.3.8#row-

Set 2 - 9 : 7
https://webutil.brid...&v3v=6.3.8#row-

Set 3 - 6.5 : 9.5
https://webutil.brid...&v3v=6.3.8#row-

Set 4 - 7.5 : 8.5
https://webutil.brid...&v3v=6.3.8#row-

Overall - 33 : 31

Quite lucky at the end. If smerriman has made the 4 at B14 at the last set it would be a tie.
Too pessimistic in the second half.

Yes, I completely lost my train of thought when it was an easy make. But you deserved the win, well done.

Congrats bgm! A remarkable high performance throughout the whole event. Your BBO name of Bridge Game Master clearly was not an exaggeration :)

Thanks kgr for playing the final. It was close and intense until the end, but luckily most are flat boards in the last set and did not create lots of swings.

Thanks smerriman again to organize this fun event. It is enjoyable.

It is a great experience and pleasure to play against all friends here, although indirectly. Thanks everyone.

Hopefully my concentration level will be improved by a little bit  . And understanding the GIB bidding more B-)
