hum, delicate but but I think that :

with AK, A and at this vul I will take the sure (I hope) plus rather than risk anything at the 5 level. If partner had really a great hand he could have bid 4NT which is more take out oriented in my partnership !

I pass. This double is just cards now, and I don't have the shape to warrant playing at the 5 level. Partner could bid 4NT if he didn't want me to pass

Can we make a contract on the 5 level maybe / maybe
not.

Is slam likely? No.

In case slam is cold, do I believe, I have a fair chance
reaching this slam in a controlled way? No.

I have defense enough for my opening, so we will beat
the contract, -2 mostof the time, maybe even -4.
Meaning I may trade on average 300 against 420, no
big deal, a match is long, to survive loosing 5 IMPS.

With kind regards

pass. I don't have enough shape to justify bidding at the 5 level.

Pass.

One of my better partners says "You're only allowed to pull to the 5-level to making contracts."

I don't have enough confidence that a 5-level contract will make.

Alternatively, in terms of what I've shown in the auction thus far, I'm STILL minimum and my cards are slightly more defensive than offensive in my opinion. I'm only worried that I opened 1 because I'm hoping partner won't lead one certain holdings.

Since I would bid 4 over 3, I don't have to answer this question.

Well, If someone passed for me over 3S, I would pass now.

I care about the friends I have made on BBO. Also, I am extremely concerned about the environment/ ecology/ wildlife/ the little planet that we call Earth. How much more of the world's habitat and food supply for animals do we plan on destroying. How many more wetlands are we going to drain, fill, and build on? How many more sand dunes are we going to knock down in the interests of high-rise hotels or luxury homes?
