Help
Randomly my keyboard becomes unusable and I cannot type anything in the chat line. What I can do is paste text from a word doc and click chat. I have to restart Bridgebase to get the keyboard function back on.

It happens to me as well, always in Firefox, not in Chrome. I found out that it is enough to switch to another tab in the browser and then come back to BBO for the chat to work again. No idea about the cause.

You might need to get your keyboard replaced. Get it checked over by a technician. If it's still within its warrenty it shouldn't cost you anything. Otherwise you'll have pay a fee. If you
do,ask for an estimate and shop around for the cheapest price. Don't just accept the first offer. Good luck!

Some would suggest that the problem has nothing to do with the keyboard, and that this would be a waste of time...

If you need to replace the keyboard, WalMart, Amazon or some other discount department store will sell you one for under $10.00. I usually find that if my keyboard has locked, I've lost my connection to Bridge Base entirely and have to restart thru my computer. I use Chrome, which usually gives me no trouble, BBO will go unstable on me from time to time.

It's a bug with flash. Clicking in the URL bar, or switching tabs as suggested, will resolve it.

Thanks for the suggested cures, I'll try them as this happens often, and is very annoying. I have a set of messages set up in Chat Manager which I can use when it happens (eg. 'No chat p !', 'wdp' etc), but Chat Manager is also useful for announcing the system for new opps, or requesting new players. Unfortunately it doesn't seem to be available on the iPad interface, - just where it is needed most.

Chat Manager is in the new version of the mobile app that came out last week. Go to the Chat tab, tap in the chat display area, and a menu pops up with Chat Manager as one of the options.

It's happened to me also. I've have discovered that was unable to write on " Fast Reply " after i was emailing on "Message" and i watched that cannot use also "F.R." in Forum too. To change the virtual keyboard with that one of Google (with an " A " on image) seems to have almost temporally resolving but i work now on Chrome or Firefox Beta and not in Internet Explorer ( and this one can be also a mine devise problem ).
