Get hands played by a user between two dates

We've only kept the last few months of hands in myhands for several years. I can't remember ever being able to go back years.
The only thing that has changed recently is that we automatically delete hands more than 3 months old every day. In the past, every month or two we would delete old hands manually (whenever the database server was getting too full). So it used to be that for a little while there would be hands 4 or 5 months old, then at random times they would all disappear.
