When I go face he ends up healing with alextrazza, when I go slow he obliterates me with flamestrike. Maye I always have bad deck for him.

If you suspect a freeze mage, save healing for when he plays alex.
What are you playing against it ?

The best way to defeat them is early board pressure combined with removal/silence for Doomsayer when they combo it with Frost Nova. Kezan Mystic is also an extremely potent tech card and allows you to steal ice-block and then kill them in one turn.

Given Ben Brode's rather poor explanation (https://www.youtube....h?v=PprkXykU5xM - "we don't want to touch the stats as that's the soul of the card" [paraphrased]) I'm beginning to think there is actually some truth in the "Blizzard only care about the money" conspiracy theories... :/

My TL;DR summary was:
1) Making a card that gives charge to any minion was a mistake.
2) We had to remove that ability.
3) We prioritized keeping the theme of the card at the expense of making it unplayable.
At least he mentioned that warrior was the worst arena class!

Most of the playable X/1s either have a utility ability (eg sergeant, buccaneer, deckhand, archer) in which case you usually hold or are naturally immune/resistant (worgen, argent squire, webspinner) in which case you play.
In a meta with so many play/rogue/mage players, I rate the other X/1s pretty low.

If they have to coin to do it, even better. Arena is no longer about value, tempo is much more important. So, if my T2 is ***** (hero power, weak minion) I wouldn't drop the 2/1, but if I can follow up with a 2 and a 3 then I play that sucker out every time.

Perhaps against druid and rogue it might depend on havint taunts later on.

Leper gnome is an aggressive card. Assuming you drafted it into the right deck, it means your hand will have good curve for the early turns, so dropping it T1 would be awesome. If, on the other hand, you're playing warrior and your hand is leper waraxe yeti, you would pass since you want them to coin something you can axe and leper will smooth the curve later on.

Next season I'll try either midrange paladin or the new Patron warrior.

Have 3 or 4 wins out of 12 or so.
Last night partner played millhouse manastorm so I hit it with a 40 point divine shielded critter early (it almost always then draws an assassinate if you get something big), but this was still enough.
One thing I learned. Don't fill your board or it destroys all your critters if there's no room for it, this probably cost another win.
Not a good week to have the "Win X tavern brawls" quest.
New expansion they just announced has some interesting cards.
