Raising after doubling in competition How much do you need?

I am not sure just how much is needed, but I am sure the given hand is not enough. Partner could have close to nothing, and occasionally may not even have four hearts.

Yep, I had a takeout double of 1S. Why would I want to say that again?

S opened a strong club at our table, and my partner sitting W called it "both reds"; this enabled E with very little but J9fifth of hearts to push them to 4c, whacked by W. According to deep finesse, that's the optimal contract for both sides, but not if partner accidentally drops the wrong diamond out of his hand at trick 12.
"I suggest a chapter on "strongest dummy opposite my free bids." For example, someone might wonder how I once put this hand down as dummy in a spade contract: AQ10xxx void AKQxx KQ. Did I start with Michaels? Did I cuebid until partner was forced to pick one of my suits? No, I was just playing with Brian (6S made when the trump king dropped singleton)." David Wright

"Oh, you can't help that," said the Cat: "we're all mad here. I'm mad. You're mad."
"How do you know I'm mad?" said Alice.
"You must be," said the Cat, "or you wouldn't have come here."

I have a little more than I promised, particularly at white.

Yes, you have extra values by like a king (or at least a queen if you are very sound, most people are probably between a king and a queen) but more importantly you also have a 4th trump when you might have had only 3.

Tempting, but I have excellent defence here. My AQA are in the opponent's suits.
