I like 3♠, if partner raises voluntarilly we have a good shot at 6♠, we might be able to show clubs next. And if partner does something that smells like short spades we can bid 6♣

By bidding 4♥, showing spades and a minor? If partner doesn't bid 4♠, there is a good chance that he has a singleton spade - with Hx he would tend to choose 4♠.

I'd bid 4♥, planning to pass 4♠ but bid 6♣ over anything else.

Edit: on reflection, a singleton spade probably isn't enough if partner has only three clubs. They may lead a trump, which is often right against this sort of sequence; or the hand with two spades may have three clubs and make a trump trick; or spades may be 4-1. I think we should settle for game.

Sure, 4H! as Michaels works well over a 3H preempt, but what about over a 3S preempt ( It takes you to the 5-level in ♥ )?

That is why someone came out with 4C! and 4D! as = that minor and the other major.

And over a 3-minor preempt :
... 4C! = other minor and a major (4D* asks major)
... 4D! = both majors

Fwiw nothing is any good at all. LHO has the oustanding 13 black cards and partner has 6 hearts and AKQJxxxx in Ds

Thats why i dont only play them, but also skip the topics about them. It is like trying to make sense out of nonsense.
