RHO opens 1 17+ (18+ if balanced) no big agreements here, just any number of hearts or pass.

2H, or 2D if play suction.

That's impossible. No one can give more than one hundred percent. By definition that is the most anyone can give.

Definitely not 2H, which I think is a poor bid with this totally topless suit.
Its a toss up between 1H and pass; probably the latter.

1. We need 4 card fit anyway to fight.
I think passing is very bad, it risks missing our 10+card fit while making their life difficult and it gains nothing. Lol pass :D

That way, if we are on a misfit we can play in the other red suit.

1 I guess. I don't think I want pard going bananas when I'm looking at a fragment in a suit where they have a possible fit. The effective preemption comes with pards raise.

I don't really have a big problem with pass or 2 either. I don't know why, but I just don't have strong feelings about this one.

Glad to have some company

Not very lucky dummy, and not very lucky that opps opened 17+ club so LHO doubled on 7+ HCP instead of 8+. -800 when team mates did very well staying out of trouble bringing up 3NT with overtrick(s)
