I did Joe Louis...it came up with Joe Frazier the first time, then tried about 1/2-dozen more questions and got it the second time

great game, I was genuinely surprised when I first tried it (a few months ago), I'm sure it's more intelligent now.
... and I can prove it with my usual, flawless logic.

Funny, the question "is your character linked with apples?" came up for Virgin Mary (presumably to make sure it wasn't Eve I was thinking of), and also for Newton :)

The apple question came up re. Steve Jobs, haha, I was very curious how it would differentiate between him and Bill Gates. :)

It doesn't know of many bridge players. It guessed Omar Sharif but that was purely on the basis of his carrier as an actor.

BTW, the "think of an animal" game is an example that is often used in beginner's books of computer programming. The algorithm is extremely simple, some 8-9 lines of code.

If we all use it very intensively it will eventually learn about some bridge players.

Lol. I picked Dick Cheney. It asked me "Does your character always do something wrong?" Of course I clicked yes. Didn't deter akinator from guessing right, and was of course just the answer it had expected.

Johan Cruyff, should be easy right?
He came up with Marco van Basten, then suggested Louis van Gaal.
Thirdly a soccer player from Ukrain and finally he gave up.

If people play it and add bridge players names they-ll probably start appearing. I added Justin...

its not that easy, at some point it would need specific bridge questions to determine between all of them

It got Abel on it's second guess (first set of questions led to Tesla). It completely missed Melvil Dewey (but had him in the database), same with Rosalind Franklin. I added Charles Goren.

Not the best programming. It asked if my character was American and I said yes and then it later asked if my character was European.

But it got Jesse Ventura in 17/18 guesses iirc.

Later edit, it only took 20 guesses to guess God and it turns out he's not real! Glad that issue's resolved.

For the same character, I was asked:

If my character was female

If my character was a woman

If my character was a girl.

I answered yes, yes, no (because I thought that it was a question about age), and it answered all men.

Didn't have Guy Lafleur, that kinda surprised me.

Another cool little game to try:
