Obviously I did the wrong thing, or I probably wouldn't have posted it. I passed, partner had a 6232 15-count, AQ6xxx spade and Kxx diamond opposite.

Really? Pd has a 12-14 HCP hands with 6 Spades and you prefer to play 2 NT?

I never missed this bid as natural, I could not even remember when I used it in a standard system as natural in this situation.

Almost as much as taking our almost sure minus in 2 when we are much more likely to have a playable 3.
