Now ♠6, else declarer will be able to setup a spade. This can hardly cost. I think it's probably the same regardless...

I'm with the club return as well. Knock out West club control. Your spade is always coming and you can't give two ruffs with no outside entry.

I also played a club, but I think after countign a bit it is wrong.
Partner must have 1354 or 1345, given that he didn't raise 2♣ it is more likely that he has 1354 (not for sure).
If he has 1354 declarer is 3523, and has a discard from diamonds for his last spade!.
A spade return might be awful when partner holds ♣AQxxx, but only because it blows our entry. But the free ruff is almost impossible that blows a trump trik for partner given dummy's holding and ours.
