In the 80's took place the "highest" bridge session has been ever played.
Polish climbers reported that they tried to play a short rubber session
in the tent of camp 3 on the slopes of K- 2 in Pakistan (at the altitude of aprox. 7400 m )
How the "thin air" affected the quality of the play is unknown.

I was in Bangladash for a tourney (not bridge).
During downtime, teammates and I sat around playing Bridge in the competition arena. This tourney was a pretty big event in Bangladash apparently, and there were reporters from the newspapers. They took a picture of these 4 Singaporean youths playing cards (gambling was illegal). It made the back cover of the papers.
