I have played a few and seen many more hands that embody the beauty of bridge. This one doesn’t seem to have anything going for it.

This is not difficult, after the ace stands up, opening leader knows he needs a heart ruff so returns a highish spade that isn't the K and partner should work it out

Beauty is in the eye of the beholder. I think one would have to be either asleep or a weak player to get this wrong.

Iow, maybe I’m being a bridge snob…I’ve been called worse…but to me a beautiful bridge hand should have an expert player feeling proud of finding the play or being sufficiently impressed as to congratulate the opp for a (very) well played hand.

That doesn’t mean that it’s not an instructive hand…it is that, as in one should always THINK about one’s objectives before playing
