After my bot partner's cuebid of 2♦, I have no good bid according to the descriptions. 2 in a major shows a 4-card suit, 3♣ is strong and 2NT shows a stop in ♦, which I don't have. So I settled with 3♦ as this does not promise anything according to the description and my partner passes instead of bidding 3NT. 3♦ actually makes, so it wasn't that bad, but still a disaster compared to all the others who bid 2NT without a stopper and ended up in 3NT, lol...

knows you have no 5-card suit except maybe clubs
the only game is in NT
has 2 ♦ stoppers
bid some number of NT
or at least take a stab at 3N after 3♦

I read it as saying that 3♦ promises 4 card diamonds, which is even less helpful.

This abuse of a cue response in order to endplay partner in the auction is exactly what I complained about in the parallel thread "GIBBO has broken takeout doubles?". I keep seeing it now and I don't remember it in the past, although happy to be corrected.
