I won't even waste time discussing the various GIB definitions. I'll just say that North was probably REALLY disappointed that EW didn't redouble his "double" of 6C, considering all that SUPER defence he had in his hand. Why, his diamonds ALONE rated to take at LEAST 5 tricks against the EW 6 club (!) contract, ESPECIALLY since his partner South had bid three DIAMONDS. And he was probably ASTONISHED that his 9 of spades didn't win the first trick!
Just plain unlucky, I suppose, that with his HUGE defensive hand, 6C was cold. I feel REALLY sorry for the poor...GIBBO robot!

Same board at another table, but very different auction and result.
Here, the truly BRILLIANT GIBBO robot in the West performed one of his famous "rescues", pulling 6C doubled to 6S, which was also doubled.
His TYPICALLY "successful"...ahem..."rescue" INDEED succeeded. It succeeded in turning his score from plus 1090 for 6C doubled making 6, into minus 1100 for 6S doubled down five. Just your normal everyday net LOSS of 2190 points for a "rescue" by a GIBBO robot. In his "defence", though, the entire EW auction was bananas by both "partners".
Hey, maybe some of the major sponsors will want to HIRE this EW pair, because they definitely know how to create swings.
Seriously, though: It is long, long, LONG past the time to throw the GIBBO robots into a space capsule, send it off to Mars, and replace them with...ANYTHING...because ANYTHING would be better at bridge than these hopeless pieces of GIBBO trash!

Another BRILLIANT "rescue", this time SADLY by North. South (yours truly) doubles EW in 5C, which will be going down at LEAST two.
My imbecilic "partner", the GIBBO robot in the North says, "Oh no! My human has doubled the opponents. I MUST rescue him! He's SO lucky to be playing with a genius such as I!" And with that, he PROUDLY bids 5S.
We go down "only" two, not even doubled, so we are "only" minus 200...instead of being PLUS at LEAST 300 for beating 5C doubled at LEAST two tricks.
We score 14.29 % on the board. Had North not performed his BRILLIANT "rescue", our score on it would have been 85 % - a "mere" 70.71 & higher.
BEAUTIFUL "rescue", GIBBO "partner" of mine. I think I can see why this thread has over 1700 posts criticizing the robots and why it has been viewed almost 600,000 times since it was created less than a year ago. Golly gee, it's almost as if a lot of people AGREE that GIB/GIBBO robots are among the worst "bridge players" of ALL time!
Note to BBO: The normal place to put GARBAGE is in a GARBAGE BIN. Just sayin'.

One GOOD thing about having a GIBBO robot as a "partner" is that it gives you leeway to operate, because you KNOW you're playing with piece of SLIME, so you might as WELL operate. Ergo, my 2D bid. Surprisingly, the GIBBO jackass I was playing with actually LED a diamond! Be still, my heart! Will wonders never cease?

Foolish 3H bid by East. If he's going to compete, double must be wiser (assuming it's for takeout in the hopeless, antiquated GIBBO system).
At trick three, Johnny Halfwit in the East wins his diamond ace. Does he play a CLUB next? Sorry, silly question. Of COURSE he does not play a CLUB, because clubs is the suit his "PARTNER" shifted to at trick two, so of COURSE Mr. Halfwit plays a DIAMOND, the suit DECLARER just led. Why? Because GIBBO robots, who obviously received their bridge education (ha...HA...HA!) on Bizarro World absolutely HATE to lead "partner's" suit, but LOVE to lead declarer's. Like MAGIC, declarer's club loser VANISHES. Well done, Mr. Halfwit, TRULY well done! (I.D.I.O.T.!)

Same hand as the one immediately above, but different table and different result. At THIS table, the East seat is occupied by Johnny Halfwit's cousin, Donald J. Dumbo. Donnie does even WORSE than Johnny. He leads the ace of diamonds and continues the suit. Declarer has an east TWELVE tricks.
Donald J. Dumbo's ambition is to one day be as "good" at bridge as Johnny Halfwit.

EW give us a lesson in bidding and also in declarer play. If we are wise, we will IMMEDIATELY erase BOTH "lessons" from our memory.

North wins South's opening 10 of hearts lead with his queen. Does he return his heart 3 at trick two?
I'm sorry! It seems I asked another silly question. I must stop doing that! Of COURSE he doesn't return a HEART, because his partner LED a heart, and he would never even dream of returning partner's suit. GIBBO robots were obviously instructed in the cradle to NEVER return partner's suit. They HATE playing partner's suit. They LOVE playing declarer's suit.
He shifts to...the diamond king (!) at trick two. Oh, that's gotta be good.
