The bidding goes 1♦ by dealer/partner 1♠ overcall

and you chose to bid 4♦

What sould be the meaning of the 4♦ bid?

Weak, how many depends on how many diamonds 1D showed. In my regular partnerships, 1D shows at least 4 so 4D could be as few as five, but I’ll have a stiff or void somewhere and few hcp. If 1D is 3+ then 4D will have 6.
