I am a frequent player on the BBO platform and I really enjoy the setup. However, one aspect that puzzled me over the years is the "best hand" setting, which is e.g. used in the daily tournaments. I can see the reason for the option, but the downside of it is that it gives so much additional information, in particular if you have a hand with just above 10 hcp.
I feel an attractive alternative could be to have a "good hand" setting, in which you (randomly) deal the cards and then rotate them clockwise (or whatever you like 😉) until the player has 10 or more hcp. In this way you make sure that the player has a card with some action, but there is no information on the distribution of the other hcp.
I can imagine that it would be difficult to shift to such a new setting, as the BBO community is used to the old one, but I thought it would be nice to share the idea anyway.
