I’m a bit of a beginner/improver but struggled with how this should pan out for the best contract. I play Acol
I think 3NT wd be gd final bid but what’s the best way to get there and is it really the best bid

Alternatively, with a mangy spade suit and an awkward rebid, you might open 1NT. I'd probably go for 1♠ myself, but wouldn't fault 1NT.
