Thank you, again, SMerriman. Good luck to all finalists :) Look forward to learning from play-records.

I'm sure that the information is somewhere on BBO but please would a moderator pin a RESULTS page to the BBO Forum Events forum. With one topic page for each type of event e.g.
Challenge events
JEC matches

A single page could list all the events of a given kind, with winners and runners-up.

Alternatively, a historical summary could be appended to the last page of each event-report.

gszes pilowsky probably will make no difference to final standings but
I have tried twice to play that round and the challenge was accepted but i have never seen any results

Both challenges completed successfully:

https://webutil.brid...7192&u=pilowsky
https://webutil.brid...7802993&u=gszes

I will add the first to the results for completeness' sake.

If you're the person to complete the challenge, the results pop up after a few seconds rather than get sent to your mailbox, though if you're closed BBO then you may not see them. They'll always appear under History -> Recent Tournaments though, so you can find them in there in future.

There was a sticky thread in the past, but it got unstickied at some point, probably because I was lazy in keeping it updated. I've added in Event 20 to that spreadsheet.

Might be until next week until I can finish the other semifinal - B.1.1.7 threw some mutations in the way of our travel plans, and lots of reorganisation later we'll hopefully be travelling later this week. Will report whether the lorry backlog at the Eurotunnel has resolved by the time we get there...

FWIW again i doubt it will have any real bearing on outcome but it appears the scores were reversed (i did not have either of these in my history) according to the files it seemed like I won both rather than losing STAY WELL

Man some random swings in the second set:

AKQ9 AKT954 A 42, white/red
We both bid 2-2-2-3. I bid 4, to show a min 2 opener. Stephen bids a more scientific 3. Result?

I earn 11 IMPS because...on my auction, LHO-genius-GIB decides to double me in 6 with - xx KQJxx QTJ8xx, letting me score up 6X + 1, whereas against Stephen LHO-genius-GIB decides to save with 6NT, catching partner with 6 diamonds, heart singleton, K9 and no defensive tricks in the majors.

I also earn 5 IMPs because I decided to check GIB's explanation of
1 (1) 2 (X)
P (2) 2! - which is artificial, showing a maximum 2 bid...

I played the entire second half of that set in a state of shock after that 7 save, never seen anything like it.

Actually, are we sure the advanced bots are enabled? GIB seems even more random than usual...

Well, I finished set 3 in 2020, but it took Stephen until 2021 to do so
No fireworks though: 11-3 https://webutil.brid...=web&v3v=5.6.18

Thanks for arranging everything, smerriman - although I missed the deadline for registration this time around, it was still nice to follow along. 7x-3 was brutal.
