Using the iPad application, there is a 'Chat' option in the top right hand corner menu.

Who are you expected to chat to?
How do you 'cancel' the window that comes up?
If you select 'Private', how do you assign a username?

All very confusing.

Private is supposed to add a field where you can enter the name of the person you want to chat to, but it looks like that isn't working. But there are other ways:

1. Click on a player name somewhere (such as your Friends list), there's a chat line in the profile that pops up.
2. Go to the Messages->Chat tab. When you select "Private" a "Send to" field is added next to it.
3. Anyone you've previously chatted with during this session is added to the menu of destinations in all the chat areas.
