If there's a way to make this a diagram I don't know how. Anyhow, GIB's 3 bid goes along with it's explanation but why bid it with this garbage and then why jump to 5? Most of us use 3S to ask for a stopper for 3NT. What is with this crazy bidding?

GIB had replaced my PD during this hand, of course.

Well, 5 is clear after you read the definition for 4 :)

As for 3, who knows. It appears it has defined its previous pass as 0-2 points. If it passes again, it describes that as 0 points. Probably has a rule that with support and a "maximum", keep the bidding alive.

Yep, 4 shows your run of the mill 32+ point hand. It's not clear to me why GIB didn't bid 6NT, or at least 6 with 2 points since there are 34+ points. Now some people may look at the auction where one opponent had enough to open the bidding, and the other opponent showed 10-11 HCP and come to the conclusion that partner can't have a 32 point hand. Fortunately, GIB is not one of those "people" and trusts partner to have his bids.
