whatever the reason, 4SX is just plain awful

Opening lead of stiff ♠K is also amusing.

I recognize that hand, I was anoyed with my partner's choice of 4♠ also in a similar auction (my rebid was 3♦ or 4♦ rather than 2♦, don't remember which), but it made on the lead of ♠K.
The world would be such a happy place, if only everyone played Acol :) --- TramTicket

I must be missing something. If you are saying it is wrong for the defense to double 4S, I agree with that. 4Sx should make 10 tricks without working up a sweat. 11 tricks are cold if you manage to drop the singleton trump K.

Any reasoning for playing 4SX should be re-examined.
Hi
Very good topic, now I post your hand diagram, as you said "Any reasoning for playing 4SX should be re-examined.", I think this task is too tough for our Gib fans, so it would be a matter of fred/uday.

May I ask experts for example manudude03 and johnu to come here and make some analysis on this hand ?
I am a beginner, I want to learn from experts.
Let us all wait for their wonderful comments.
