The topic title is self explanatory. Time zone is not relevant as long as I am available anytime.

SEF? Precision? Canape?

Of course, if you're really a World Class player, as your profile indicates that you think you are, you probably don't have to advertise here for "a decent partner" as your profile indicates you are seeking...

Yes, I'll be glad to try it. Unfortunately I couldn't find myself a material describing the "real", "original" Fantunes. I found a lot of "sort of Fantunes", "Fantunes simplified" and so on... I'd like to simplify it myself, if it's necessary, not to get the versions of some doubtful authors. So, if you can provide the original version I'll be happy to study and play it.

As long as bbo does not provide a methodology for determining the skill level, everybody is free to choose any option. There are Beginners with 5000+ logins... If after 5000 logins you are still Beginner, than it's something very wrong... :) More disappointing is when you see Yellow Stars playing lousy. And the stars are given by bbo itself... No further comments :)

So, regardless your (self-awarded) skill level, any decent person on bbo will face BIG issues in finding a decent partner. For example 2 of my partners simply refuse to use bbo due to the low REAL (not that self-awarded) skill level of the players. Others more permissive, like myself, continue to hope that one day will find one of the 5% gems hidden among 95% mediocrity... Because how can you call players not able to detect even a Blackwood or a takeout dbl... Can we talk anymore about skill levels in these conditions?

A very good option for bbo is to award the skill levels based on a quiz, when you register and anytime later. It would be also fun, not only very useful...

Coming back to systems... Out of your options, I will choose without hesitation Precision. In my opinion, out of all systems, any Strong Club (not only Precision) gives you the biggest pleasure to play bridge.

Yes, you can self-rate anything you want... but if you expect to be taken seriously by potential partners, it should look reasonable compared to your scoring history over the past month.

It's clear that we do not have the same criteria in perceiving a bridge player. You prefer the bells and whistles of bbo profile package... I prefer the raw content of the person.

The best for each one of us is to pursue his own way of "reading" people. That means our roads are splitting now.

Since you have played for your country, there must be a lot of people who have heard of you and would like to play with you. Show your real name and I am sure you will be fighting partners off.

What a superficial (not to say silly) idea :) Why would I ever play for my country or any other entity??? ... Oh, I see that inevitably the 95% of bbo I mentioned before is creeping slowly into this topic too :)

To cut it short: I will answer only to posts coming from the 5% minority. The rest is waste (of time too :) ).

OK. I thought that "World Class" meant that you had played for your country or otherwise enjoyed success at the international level.

LOL I have played for my country and don't consider myself anywhere near "World Class" level.
