EDIT: I edited the hand to make it more realistic.

Standard Carding on both pairs (3rd/5th leads)

3/5th does not apply to interior sequences in USA fwiw.

Indeed, would never read the 9 as that holding, if partner was awake, he'd lead the top one anyway as he can see he might well want to retain the lead.

You can also get a top on the bidding if you don't let the opps invite. Will the problem be realistic then if I give partner K108x?

BTW 10 is also standard here from K109, but 8 from K98, however I think there is a point when the fit is large enough that 10&9 become small.

If you use 0-2 leads for T,9 it would.

KJTx : 3rd
T9x: 1st

Anyway, just nitpicking :D

And in Journalist against NT it is the ten from KJTx(x) and the 9 from T9x(x) with Busso (attitude) spot leads (the 9 is not a spot). But obviously 0 or 2 higher is functionally the same as 1st or 3rd...

An aside, we treat H98 as an honour combination and lead the 9, but lead the 8 from 98x, is this unusual ? it seems to work fairly well.
