The only logical assumption I can make from this is that GIB is looking for a change of partner...Well that or GIB is a sadist at heart.

Fixed in v29.

2 is as per book by GIB. Very close to invite 3 but not enough HCP as partner could decide to bid 3NT.

It's a matter of evaluation, but I think with shortness in both partner's suits, the hand isn't going anywhere without a spade fit. Also, jacks.
