Matchpoints. Partner will open most 11s, and 10s that roughly fit a "Rule of 19" or so.

Better minor. 1 guarantees an unbalanced hand.

Regardless of how you would do it systemically, do you feel your hand is worth a GF or merely an invite?

I would bid 4 Spade. Too many chances to make.
Kind Regards

seems like inv tells our story here.

give pard something such as:

Kxxx,,QT..KQxxx..Jx or worse

if going through XYZ then over 2s pard can make a game try if she wishes.

1d=1h
1s!=2c!
2d!=2s(inv)

GF. We have a great hand, no problems no matter where partner's shortage is, support for diamonds, I can't see signing off short of game. Something like AKxx x Kxxxx xxx has good play for game, as do a number of less pure hands that would still not accept an invite.

8 losers = invite, especially if playing w/ light rule of 19 style.
But I (and ptr) also accept most of the invites that come my way.
