I held :

A74
T6
92
KQ8765

Partner opened a weak 2, 2 from RHO, raised to 4 by his partner.

Which would you lead, K or T?

(Matchpoints if it matters....)

Club. I will not be the only one to ruff a third heart, so not much future there. But maybe partner does hold a singleton club, so this may well produce a trick.
Kind Regards

If anything matters, it's the vulnerability and whether your partner was in 1st or 2nd seat. ;) If partner could be preempting on J9xxxx a heart is less attractive...

Anyway in this case I agree with club regardless of vulnerability.

the odds of p being short in clubs are rather small. In order
to play for p having the short club we must start with the
club K which is a favorite to be behind the A so a club ruff
by p might still be nothing but a trade off. Our poor trump
holding means we can never profitably ruff a heart but that
does not mean a heart lead cant be a winner if p has either
good hearts or reasonable hearts and the card placement is
in our favor.

IMO lead a heart and hope it at worst holds the opps to less
tricks than the others save the heroic club lead for IMPS
(where I would still lead a heart)

Club.

Even if gszes is right about the location of the club honors, if we don't attack clubs immediately we may lose our club trick(s) on diamonds (or hearts).

The same can be said about hearts, but I am looking at the club trick and not at the heart trick.
