In a 2/1 GF context with a 14-16 NT, what do people do on auctions like:
1C!* - (P) - 1H!** - (2H)
* Clubs or balanced hand
** 4+ Spades
I currently play something like:
Pass 11-13 with 2 card support or an unbalanced hand that cannot find a bit here.
X - 3 card support
2S - 4 Card support
3C - weak, unbalanced, long clubs
3D - Reverse
What do you do with 2NT? It doesn't seem that likely on the auction you're going to have the big balanced option. Similarly for the rest of the bids?

Pass should not be weak only. With 16+ and 3+♥s, a penalty pass is a good idea too. We hope partner will reopen with a double.
I'd play 2N as Good/Bad - asking partner to bid 3♣ unless s/he has no tolerance for ♣ at all. 2N says I want to sign off at the 3 level. That way, a direct 3♣/♦ bid can be strong and forward going.
With any hand holding enough to rebid (jump to) 2N in a constructive auction I pass hoping to get a double from partner. Red vs White at IMPS I might just bid 3N instead.
2N then a delayed ♠ raise should show the equivalent of a JUMP to 3♠ with a ♥ stop (similar to Lebensohl - Slow = stop) just in case 9 tricks are the limit for us. Again we have to weigh this against doubling them.

Does it make more sense to play it the other way around? So 3C is the weak bad option and 2NT says 'good hand P'?

This sequence is the same as the vanilla auction
1 ♣ (pass) 1 ♠ (2♥)
So, whatever fits you there, will fit you here. I play g/B NT too and would use 2 NT to show a good hand in clubs and not in the way Steve plays it.

Yeah, my question is what do you play here? It's equally applicable after 1D-(P)-1S-(2H) as well.
