Why does 1m:2m deny a 4 card major?

Unless partner objects strongly. I like to include four-card majors in inverted minor-raises:
1 - ??
  • - 2 = INV 10+ HCP 4+
  • - 3 = WEAK 4+ .
  • - 2... = FIT 5+ bid suit, 4+ sound raise to at least the next level.

1 - 2
??
  • - 2N = MIN flat.
  • - 3 = MIN with 5+
  • - 2 = ART searching for stoppers.
  • - 2/ = NAT 4+ bid suit

Similarly
1 - 2 -; 3 = ART searching for stoppers.
