I do not play NFB, and I'm a King short for X. Easy pass.

At the two level, this is a bit light for a negative double. I pass, unhappily.

This is a close poll and I'm on the side of the passers. Something is wrong, I need to rethink because I usually think that the passers have it wrong.
Please note: I am interested in boring, bog standard, 2/1.

I would X. We have 9 cards in the majors, and enough values to compete for a partscore. If partner pulls in 2D, or, god forbid, passes, then I'll take my lumps like a man.

The choices are problematic because they're not mutually exclusive: if you bid 2 you don't double (answers 2 & 3); if you do something else you don't double (answers 2 & 4).

I double.

My doubletons in the minors give me a little protection....just enough, imo, to justify the aggressive choice

Very surprised at Han's pass. I thought I would be the only one who thought it was just a tick short of a double.

Han is getting old, Mikeh started bidding more agressively after BB :P

I would double. Perhaps the nice spots in Spades and the 10 will compensate for shortage of values.
Nobody VUL is a good time to bid a little light.

I guess Han is passing because the cold makes him conservative?

Han passed because he is a member of SGP and keeps a poster of Kees van der Staaij above the headboard of his bed. :)
