There's probably a better way, but open up a bridge movie and cut and paste the URL and put it directly into a post. I've only done this once and the hand record came out looking smaller than I'd like, but it worked.

First, here is a little excel tool I created to help me and others do this until a better solution is found along with an explaination how to post hands here.

Excel tool for lin file posting

A word of caution/explaination. BBO has two ways to reference hands. One has a link that looks sometihng like this (a redirect to the actual hand).

http://www.bridgebas...0612-1310734837 (this is by reference. The last long number (1310734837) is unix time stamp, which points to the Day July 15, time of GMT: Fri, 15 Jul 2011 13:00:37 UTC, This example was from a team match (JEC). This is the time the match started. The first number is some hand number and in a team match, the hand numbers are sequential. So if the open table on board one was 1540612, then the closed table would be 1540613, and the open table second deal would be 1540613. NOTE: the time date does not change for the entire match.

You can post hands here with the indirect reference, but if you do, as soon as the myhands database is "cleared" the hand will no longer be displayed.

The second way you can post hands is by clicking on the movie from the myhands page and post the actual thing as a hand. This of course looks like this...

http://www.bridgebas...D6%7Cmc%7C10%7C

This one when posted, has all the bids, and card play (along with alerts, etc) and it will stay posted even after myhands is cleared. As proof of that, in the excel post linked above I gave the reference link and said in a few months that would no longer show the hand. If you go to that page and click on the reference link, you get a table diagram wiht no cards, players, bidding, or play (this is what happens when the myhands database is "cleared" of older hands). If the above hand post is hard to read, it is because it uses %20 as spaces, %7C as |, and %2C as comma's. There are some others for other things one find like colons, semicolons, etc.

If you use my little excel tool, please use the long version rather than the reference format so the hands remain.

If you want to export to something esle, say bridgecomposer, cut and paste the the long version into something like notepad starting at pn|... and replace the %7C and %2C with correct character, and save the file as somename.lin (not something.lin.txt). There you go.
