There's a fair chance that you would never get to find out about the edit, even if a retraction ov vote were possible. Agree with the sentiment, however.

I may have pointed this out in another thread a while back; I think the software should automatically enforce the "this post has been edited" tag instead of leaving it as an option to the poster.

If you think to go back an check it, the fact that a post has been (significantly) edited will be evident without that tag. But there is no prompt to go back and look and adding the tag does nothing to address that.

Having the "post has been edited" tag has benefits, I agree, but would be of limited value in addressing this particular concern. An independent observer would not even be able to tell whether the upvote or dowvnvote had been added before or after the edit.

Personally, I think this downvoting of all Lurpoa's posts is ridiculous. It seems to me to be getting "even" for her downvotes ; how childish this is.

I think its AMAZING that this post was downvoted by Lurpoa.

It appears that some people (Yellows? Staff?) still (or again) have downvoting ability. See post #54 in http://www.bridgebas..._40#entry652800

so adorable that spam is met with downvoting by admins, not for the spammers, but for the ppl thinking it should be dealt with.

I'm not sure why those individuals shouldn't be allowed to post without being called spammers.

Do up votes cancel out down votes? If so, strange that no one has up voted your post?

But you weren't downvoted because you called it spam, or because you said that it should be dealt with. It appears that you were downvoted because you insisted that the posters in support of "bboskill" were all one person even after you had been told by that they weren't.

I don't think that this merits a downvote, or that administrators should be able to downvote when nobody else can, or even that downvotes should exist, but I think we should stick to the facts.

24 posts from users with single digit post counts (not counting "advanced" who is critical of BBOSkill). That's not 24 different user names, there are a few users who have made multiple posts.

So, less than half of your stated "50 people".

They did not all post the exact same thing. Some posted a single line, at least one wrote a few paragraphs.

No doubt they were directed to BBO Forums by a single source, but perhaps that is because more than one person has used and liked BBOSkill and would like to see it continue. Great for them if they can generate interest from multiple individuals and get those individuals to ask for the service back.

(I don't recall ever using BBOSkill.)
