I would rate a 2S overcall as horrible

Thanks all. It was a clear 1 spade bid to me as most of you suggest.
I don't see much value in using Ogust over a weak jump overcall except that I suppose it allows partner to make jump overcalls on more hands, showing a 6 card suit. and white against red that could be advantageous I suppose. ??

That good!!! at these colors? IMO You may need a rethink on preemptive bidding strategy, at least at IMPS.
EDIT: BTW second sentence was meant for the OP. JLOL has some semblance of knowledge of preemptive bidding strategy

A good thought about needing Ogust or not according to vulnerability. Perhaps in a future thread it will be explored as a consideration (for weak-two opening bids).

opponent opens 1 club. (You are red, opps are white)
How would you rate a 2 spade overcall here?
Question 2: If one were playing Ogust over a weak jump overcall, how would you rate the bid?
Thanks for your responses.

A 2♠ overcall is no good:
- the spades are not good enough.
- and 2 outside aces , make this simply impossible.
1♠ is the best bid: the lack of honnor points is compensated by the extra-lenght.
