BBO on iMac

I am thinking of buying an iMac but gather that the "old" style downloaded BBO which I enjoy cannot be used without downloading some sort of windows software which I gather can be a pain. I have tried using the 'browser' version of BBO as a practice run but find it is not nearly so user friendly as the downloaded BBO. Sorry I am not very computer savvy but would appreciate any help, guidance or tips from people using Apple computers. Hope this doesn't put me off buying one lol :)

It used to be necessary to do some customization of the BBO settings when you used this, I'm not sure if it's still needed.
