I drive a 2008 Hyundai Tiburon which I bought in May 2008. About a year after I got it, and then again about a year after that, the fuel rails corroded and had to be replaced along with the fuel injectors. This was done under warranty so it hasn't cost me any money (yet). The technician at the dealership claims lower quality gasolines cause this and recommends I use only Shell or Chevron. I tend to use whatever is convenient but probably 75% of the time use something else and 25% of the time use one of those brands. I find his claim, dubious in any case, especially ridiculous considering it happened twice in such a short time whereas even if he were right it seems like it would take years before any damage occured.

Does anyone know where I could without too much trouble find more information on what might be causing this, whether he is right, if the part in that year and model is defective, etc? Or even better does anyone just know?
Please let me know about any questions or interest or bug reports about GIB.

I found these through a google search. Take them for what they're worth:

(The following was a bit dense and lost me, but it may be related to the cause of your problem, but not a solution nor a response to your question)

Sounds like bullshit to me. I recommend you find a trustworthy mechanic and ask them what could be causing this.
