Shouldn't X then 5 be about this hand?

I like 3 but I would pull 3NT to 4. I'm trying to show a good hand with a solid suit that has too much potential to pass 3NT.
Please let me know about any questions or interest or bug reports about GIB.

raise 3NT to 4NT, to show your 2 extra tricks. (Or even 5NT if you feel lucky)

At least you did not need to play 7 on this hand as a famous pair did....

I think that 5 is the best bid. It is possible that we can make 3 NT and that they still can make 4 , so I think removing the bidding space is the best we can do.
Okay, we do not need much from partner for a slam, but I will pay the price that we may miss one for the chance to let them guess on the 5 level.
Kind Regards

Roland

don't double on a solid 9 card suit.
... and I can prove it with my usual, flawless logic.
