Is this a take-out double? I thought it weird but interesting

I know I want to make a takeout double so partner leads towards my spades if LHO ends up declaring!
I once yelled at my partner for discarding the 'wrong' card when he was subjected to a squeeze that I allowed by giving the wrong count with too high a card. Now he's allowed to pitch aces when the opponents have the king in the dummy. At trick 2. When he could have followed suit. And blame me.

I think if you double with this hand you probably play some kind of ELC, which would make it reasonable (correct, IMO) to make a takeout double.

I assumed ELC, and still could not bring myself to double with that kind of disparity in quality between the two suits and that little overcall strength.

Q1] Only by agreement, certainly not standard as this will require major modification to your TOX structure to avoid getting screwed on more common hands.

Q2] 2♦ seems to be the most logical choice IMO.

Would wish I had overcalled the first time, and that partner had taken away exclusion from their tools by bidding 5D. Also, I would be out of the auction, content I have done my job. The hidden text auction makes the original double even uglier than it originally was.

But now, I must continue masterminding with a 6♦ call, when partner is the one who should have been making (or creating) guesses.

Good judgment I think, we are unlikely to miss a spade game after 2♦ since if partner has enough we can probably find spades anyway. If we were a bit stronger I could see more point to double playing ELC.

I am surprised that this is the only vote for 3♦ so far. Opposite a passed non-vul partner it seems to me that 3♦ is the right call.
