Yeh, I knew about the 2 or 3 spades long time ago. Why did I give the opponents more information if I was bidding 4s, anyway?

2♣ is NMF or a puppet to 2♦?

If its just a puppet, I'm not sure why I bothered. If its NMF, I will bid 4♠. The danger hand is an offshape 1N rebid on a 1=4=5=3, but that can be eliminated.

Assuming pard underbid and actually has 12 hcp, a simulation over 29345 hands revealed pard has that magic hand exactly...

just to clarify, partner has 2443 2344 or 2353 with exactly 11 HCP. that's what his 3 bids have shown. 5422 is possible I guess to with honnors in the doubletons.

No, but apparently 2♣ is some Iberian checkback that asked for spade support but quiet about the possession of 4♥.

roudinesco is a french convention <_<, you find the heart fit at the 3 level.

2S, after NMF and getting a 2-card answer was forcing and slammish. Any hand with 6+spades which wanted to invite game would have bid 3S/1NT. Any hand with 6+ spades which wanted to just be in game would have bid 4S/1NT. Any hand with 6+ spades which wanted to settle for game after hearing the bad hand response would have bid 4S after the NMF.

People who overburden NMF for fear partner has rebid 1NT with a singleton will not agree with the above.
