I open 2, but this is definitely a matter of style. My vulnerable preempts are more sound than most. This helps to raise the preempt frequency and also limits my 1-1X-2 sequences more. Of course, it also means I can't preempt with some hands where other people would bid.

I'm a pretty sound preempter vul but this is just too much to me, 1. Axxx Axxx Jx xxx is just about a good game vul.

This would be a fine 2D if in 2nd seat vul vs. notvul. Otherwise too strong for 2D. Open 1D.
