I don't like the fact that each suit has 13 cards. 13 is well known to be an unlucky number. I'd like to see each suit limited to no more than 12 cards each. We should have a referendum to determine which card is eliminated.....personally, I've always thought that jacks were overrated...so that's my choice.

Think of the benefits:

the game would go faster

shuffling would be less challenging

each deck should cost a little less

it would be easier to sort one's hand and to physically hold all the cards...which is increasingly a challenge for some of us as we age.

counting winners would be easier on the big hands

Why would anyone want to ban innovations like avocado-free guacamole or avocado with ketchup, other than because some old reactionaries aren't used to them?

Yes, but why should I be forced to pass the avocados when I have the precision to know exactly how many fruits are playing in in flight C at the Polish club?

I don't have a problem with innovations like these as long as proponents fully disclose details and offer prepared written recipes. Agree with Michael Rosenberg that some innovations lead to ethical problems, for example, when there are breaks in tempo and misinformation about ingredients.

Equal color conversion is a good example. Seriously, how can anyone suggest equality of taste between an avocado and a bell pepper?

The spannish deck has only 40 cards, it has a lot of games wich you probably have never ever heard about, a few of them are trick based (Some claim that "brisca" is a former way of bridge centuries ago), you might like them.

I miss playing role-playing games with all those 10-sided dices or whatever. I loves slicing orcs.
