The forum time stamp seems to be out by several minutes from my standard time.

Is anyone else noticing this.

My computers' times are both fine just when i post the time stamp is 7 or 8 minutes prior to when I actually post them.

The previous post that I made at 1:38 shows 1:30 when I look at it in forums.

Testing again then (11:17). It works except that it's giving me 12:17, i.e. Eastern European time?

I think it has to to with the second law of termodynamics. We define "future" as the direction related to increasing entropy, and "past" as the direction of decreasing entropy.

So the question boils down to: why is entropy a monotonous function of a particular space-time dimension. I don't know the answer to that.

I heard that at the moment the Universe starts to deflate, it shall be impossible for any sort of memory. Time will go on forward, but nothing shall retain any information from the past.

The universal principle of refinement allows for local organization (Galaxies, stars, solar systems, planets, people.....) while the rest of the universe tends, through entropy, to become totally random.

Time is the quanta of difference that can be established between any two given states of existence. We notice its presence due the "evolution" of the system that we are observing.

This is why quantum physics (at the microcosmic level) depends on intention to condense out reality. Time is not a factor at the level of Planck's constant because the "differences" between states are simultaneous.

Time's direction is dependent upon the process of evolution and how we perceive it.

It always shows the time of a posting (anyone's posting) as your local time.

I've noticed it's not always 100% accurate at knowing what your timezone is. Particularly if you work in a company that connects though a proxy server in another country.
