We just lost 1 IMP when the other table bid and made 3NT exactly. Ever happened to you?
Please note: I am interested in boring, bog standard, 2/1.

IMP scores can sometimes be mind-boggling.

My favorite "win 1" was my when my partner played 4X, down one, NV, for -100, to win one against the +140 3 contract by our partners at the other table. Sounds boring, except that 4 was cold for 12 tricks unless the opponents made the lead that they made, where it now was cold for all 13 tricks.

My favorite push, undoubtedly repeated by many folks here, is -700 against +690.

And we ask police officers, prosecutors, defense lawyers, and citizens to enforce or abide by it? The legislature continues to write unreadable statutes. Gibberish should not be enforced as law."

I went for 700 recently

Auction was something like:

1NT (11-14) - (3) - 4 (One under Texas, shows )
4 (I want to declare) - 5 (Bid slam with a club control??)
6

-700, when trumps broke 6-2. Also a candidate for "worst trump suit I've ever played slam in": 6432 vs stiff 5. Partner had a little system forget :D

Partner's interpreation was something like:

1NT (11-14) - (3) - 4 (!)
4 (Must be kickback for ) - 5 (1 or 4)
6 (Crap!)

Our auction was:

p - p - 1C - p
2C - Dbl - all pass.

2C was inverted all cards were onside. +580 for lose one.

1NTx +2 is 580 (V) or 380 (NV), so this is not uncommon...

My favorite wash was during last years BB when someone passed a splinter. -600. The teammates bid and made a vulnerable 3NT.

That shows the old rule "only pass a splinter when favorable" still holds.
