3C---pass---pass---3D
pass---3H---pass---4H
pass--pass--dbl----//

West lead his sigle C2. Taken 2 clubs, east shift to S2, west play J. The dummy play start on trick 3. What would be your plan?

W-----N------E-------S-----W-----N------E

2----7----J-----3
---------------K----5----3-----Q
---------------2----4----J------K
-------A-----9----2----5
-------K-----4----7----6
-------7-----4----2----Q
-----------------------T----4-----7----6
-----------------------8----3?----8----6
--------8----9?---3----J
------------------------J----9----A----5
--------T-----5----T----6
--------8----Q----Q----A
------------------------T----K----9----A

The declarer succeeded on steal his small trumps and made 10 tricks. Was there any chance for defenders?

Please avoid using stinging words. It's a friendly game.

There were various points where the defence could have gone better, but I think the worst play was West not ruffing the third round of clubs. It was at that point that he or she should have seen what was going to happen.

So in descending order, worst first:

West not ruffing the 8 of clubs
West discarding a diamond on the second club looking at 5 of them in dummy
East not ruffing the third diamond
East not ruffing the fourth diamond
West not taking the Ace of spades (this was irrelevant really, but partner's low spade switch should show an honour, and if he'd taken it the contract would have gone off)

p.s. you haven't asked about the auction but I don't agree with 3C, 3D, 3H or double.

Please feel free to give your comments, it would be appreciated:))) I was sitting North, got a headache on choosing bid.

I dont remember the vulnerability, let's assume Non-Vulnerable.
