"Ads help us run this site
When you visit our site, pre-selected companies may access and use certain information on your device to serve relevant ads or personalized content.

Continue to site"
The list of companies is sobering, but there isn't much I can do about it and I've already seen it, thanks.
Is there something I can do to turn this off now?
If not, will it stop?

Click Continue to site to dismiss the banner.
The banner was added by our advertising partners to comply with the EU GDPR (General Data Protection Regulation) and it's a new thing, it may still be buggy.

Thanks.
I've been doing that, obviously, otherwise I couldn't play at all.
It's not new any more.
All other sites have shown the EU GDPR warnings only until the user agrees, not every time one accesses the site.
This is (as you say) buggy.

The banner is supposed to remember your consent and stop popping for 30 days or until you clear cache/cookies. In practice I've noticed it still shows up randomly, but for me it's not every session, more like once a week or once every few days. I announced devs and they kept tweaking it (which I suppose explains why it keeps resetting), but it still shouldn't pop every session unless your browser clears cache on exit or some setting resets that consent cookie.

Thanks, I checked but can't see anything unusual in my browser settings.
Browser Chrome 66.0.3359.181 (Official Build) (64-bit) on Windows 10.
Edit: just tried again and this time I got no message, so probably it is fixed.

Thanks for the update. I signaled this problem a few days ago, other users were saying this is happening to them, but haven't heard back from the dev team handling the banner. Hopefully they did fix.

It looks like I now get the warning the first time after I reboot the PC (or maybe the first time I log into Windoze) but not the second or any successive time.
Whatever, it's better than before, thanks for the attention.

Do you have your browser set to clear cookies when it restarts? The ad software presumably uses cookies to remember whether you've already gotten the warning.

Today the warning didn't trigger even the first time, so I guess it has been fixed.
